Privacy, cookies and affiliate referrals
MedicWatch publishes healthcare regulator reporting and registration-checking information. Click Pharmacy’s online pharmacy service and PrimeCarers’ home-care service are separate commercial services. Advertisements do not imply an endorsement by MedicWatch, a regulator or a practitioner, or any connection to the practitioner being viewed. They are not a substitute for an official register or professional medical advice.
Click Pharmacy and PrimeCarers referrals
MedicWatch may earn commission on qualifying Click Pharmacy purchases and earns commission on qualifying PrimeCarers registrations referred through Awin. Choosing “Agree & visit Click Pharmacy” or “Agree & find a carer” allows Awin referral cookies for that journey. No Awin request is made until you follow the link. We send a short reference identifying the advertiser, page family and advert placement, not the practitioner, case, search terms or your needs. The referring address is limited to the MedicWatch origin.
You can decline affiliate cookies in Cookie settings and still follow the “Visit Click Pharmacy” or “Find a carer” link. We send your choice to Awin. Refusing may prevent MedicWatch receiving commission. Your Awin preference applies to both advertisers and does not grant Google Analytics consent.

Google Analytics and cookieless measurement
We use Google Analytics to understand use of MedicWatch and improve the site. Basic page-view measurements are sent to Google before you choose cookies and when you choose to use the site without analytics cookies. In this mode, Google’s tag is instructed not to read or write analytics cookies. MedicWatch does not create a replacement visitor identifier or use fingerprinting. Cookieless measurements cannot reliably recognise returning visitors.
Cookieless does not mean that no data reaches Google: requests include technical information such as your IP address and browser information. We send a broad page family, the MedicWatch homepage address and a neutral page title. We do not send practitioner names, individual article paths or titles, searches, registration numbers or form values. Google advertising storage, advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled. See Google’s privacy policy.
If you allow analytics cookies, Google can measure sessions across visits. We also record eligible offer views, viewable advertisements, CTA clicks, referral consent signals, outbound journeys and dismissals by advertiser and placement. These advert events require analytics consent and are not confirmed purchases, registrations or earnings.
Your choices
Cookie settings lets you choose analytics cookies and Awin referral tracking independently. “Use without analytics cookies” keeps basic cookieless page-view measurement enabled. Choose “Stop all Google measurement” to stop both cookieless measurement and analytics cookies. We continue to honour earlier “Reject analytics” choices as a stop to all Google measurement unless you change them. You can change these choices at any time using the controls below.
We remember choices in this browser for up to 180 days. Dismissing an advert hides both advertisers for the current tab’s visit. If browser storage is unavailable, preferences last during navigation in the current page session. Preference flags contain no visitor identifier. With JavaScript disabled, no Google measurement runs; the labelled affiliate Agree link still works, but preferences cannot be read or remembered.
Stopping measurement prevents further collection by this site; it cannot recall data already sent. Withdrawing affiliate permission affects future referrals; it cannot undo a referral already made. You can also remove previously stored cookies in your browser settings.
