Appeal dismissed(appeal against removal dismissed)
The GDC tribunal decided to dismiss Amanda Jane Doherty's appeal against her removal from the Dental Care Professionals register. The Registration Appeals Committee found that Miss Doherty, a dental hygienist who had been registered since 2002, completed only 3 verifiable hours of CPD in the period 1 August 2023 to 31 July 2025 against the required 10 hours. The Committee was not satisfied that her personal circumstances amounted to exceptional circumstances, and upheld the Registrar's erasure decision.
