Erasure(struck off the register)
The GDC tribunal decided that dental nurse Andrea Strafford should be erased after finding that she dishonestly took approximately £240 from her employer and failed to cooperate with its investigation. The separate allegation that her conduct was misleading was not proved. The committee found a risk of repetition without evidence of insight or remediation. It imposed immediate suspension to cover the appeal period.

The GDC's Interim Orders Committee decided at a review hearing on 30 April 2026 to continue the interim suspension on dental nurse Andrea Strafford's registration. The order was first imposed on 14 February 2025 for 12 months, and on 13 February 2026 the High Court extended it for a further nine months. The committee continued the suspension for the remainder of that extension, with another review due in six months. An interim order is not a finding about the allegations, which have not yet been decided.
