Appeal dismissed
The GDC tribunal decided to dismiss Gary Martyn Cubitt's appeal against his removal from the Dental Care Professionals register. The Registration Appeals Committee found that Mr Cubitt completed only 4 verifiable hours of CPD in the period 1 August 2023 to 31 July 2025, against the statutory requirement of 10 hours. The Committee was not satisfied that exceptional circumstances existed to justify allowing the appeal, and upheld the Registrar's erasure decision as proportionate.
