Appeal dismissed
The GDC tribunal decided to dismiss Ms Mahdey's appeal against removal from the dental care professionals register. She had been removed for failing to complete the required 10 hours of verifiable CPD during the period August 2023 to July 2025, falling 2 hours short. The tribunal found her circumstances did not amount to exceptional circumstances and the Registrar's original decision was proportionate. Ms Mahdey may apply to restore her registration upon completing the required CPD hours.
