Nursing and Midwifery Council determination — interim orders hearing

Interim restrictions imposed — 1 year

The regulator’s term: interim order imposed

What does “interim restrictions imposed” mean?

An interim order is a precautionary restriction imposed before the regulator's investigation is complete. It is not a finding of fault — the underlying allegations have not yet been adjudicated.

Concerning Kalvinder James Singh, nurse (Nursing and Midwifery Council 04J0956E).

Decision date: 10 April 2026 · Hearing started 10 April 2026

In plain English

The NMC's Investigating Committee found that an interim conditions of practice order was needed for Kalvinder James Singh, a registered nurse and nurse independent prescriber, while the regulator decides whether there is a case to answer about allegations made against him. The committee directed a 12-month order requiring supervision, weekly clinical review meetings, and limits on his work with one named provider. The order will be reviewed within six months. No findings have yet been made about the underlying allegations.

Charges

The NMC Case Examiners have not yet decided whether there is a case to answer in relation to the allegations made against Mr Singh. The substantive allegations are not set out in this Investigating Committee New Interim Order Hearing record.

Findings

The Investigating Committee directed an interim conditions of practice order for a period of 12 months. Conditions limit nursing practice to one substantive employer; restrict clinical work with Mango Medical Limited to no more than one day a week with daily access to a registered doctor or advanced nurse practitioner, weekly meetings, and weekly review of at least 25% of patient records; require supervision in any other registered nurse employment; require fortnightly meetings with a line manager covering clinical assessments, record keeping and high-risk case guidance; and require notification and reporting to the NMC. The order will be reviewed within the next six months and every six months thereafter. The case has not yet been determined by Case Examiners.
