What does “struck off the register” mean?
Being struck off (the regulator calls this "erasure") removes the practitioner from the register. They are no longer permitted to practise this profession in the UK. Erasure can be reviewed after a minimum of five years, but is otherwise indefinite.

Having declared a criminal conviction when you applied to join the HCPCregister in 2009, and having been convicted again in 2010, you failed todeclare your further conviction when you applied to renew your registration on16 September 2011. 2. Your conduct as set out at Particular 1 above was dishonest in that youknowingly provided false information to the HCPC 3. On 7 August 2023, when applying to renew your registration with the Healthand Care Professions Council (HCPC), you incorrectly responded “No” to thequestion “Is there any change related to health?”, when you knew you hadbeen absent from work because of your ill-health since May 2023. 4. Your conduct as set out in Particular 3 above was dishonest in that youdeliberately concealed that there had been a change related to your health. 5. You failed to inform the HCPC as soon as possible that you had beensuspended from employment at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust on5 December 2023. 6. Your conduct as set out in Particular 5 above was dishonest in that in thatyou knew you were under a duty to inform the HCPC that you had beensuspended from employment but did not to do so. 7. On 6 December 2023, at Brighton Magistrates’ Court, you were convictedof:a) Threats to kill against Person A, contrary to Section 16 of theOffences against the Person Act 1961. b) Assault by beating against Person A, contrary to Section 39 of theCriminal Justice Act 1988. 8. You failed to inform the HCPC as soon as possible that you had beenconvicted as set out in Particular 7a) and/or Particular 7b) above. 9. Your conduct as set out in Particular 8 above was dishonest in that youknew you were under a duty to inform the HCPC that you had been convictedbut did not to do so. 10. You...
