Charges
On 25 November 2025 the NMC received a referral raising a concern about Dionne Susan Homewood's fitness to practise. It was alleged that she lacked competence in the areas of medication administration, record keeping and leadership. She accepted the concerns raised about her clinical practice. The matter was referred to the case examiners and the concerns were still being investigated. No allegation had been found substantively proved by one of the NMC's statutory committees.
Findings
This was an agreed removal decision made by an Assistant Registrar under delegated authority, not a determination of a statutory committee. On 9 June 2026 the NMC received an application from Dionne Susan Homewood for agreed removal from the register. In accordance with Rule 14 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (Education, Registration and Registration Appeals) Rules 2004, the Assistant Registrar took into account comments received from the person who made the allegation, documents obtained during the investigation, the interests of Dionne Susan Homewood and the public interest. The Assistant Registrar was satisfied that she no longer intends to work as a registered nurse, that the allegations against her are not likely to result in a striking-off order, that there are no other good reasons requiring the NMC to consider the allegations further at this time, and that the public interest is best served by agreeing the application and enabling her to leave the register. A record of the decision will be published for twelve months from 24 July 2026. If she seeks readmission to the register, the NMC may consider the matters that led to the agreed removal further.
