Concerning Mohammad Mohammad, doctor (General Medical Council 4619871).
Decision date: 17 December 2025 · Hearing started 17 December 2025
In plain English
The MPTS tribunal found that Dr Mohammad's fitness to practise is no longer impaired. At a review hearing on 17 December 2025, the tribunal assessed the progress made since a six-month suspension imposed in May 2025 for serious misconduct involving two patients. The tribunal was satisfied that Dr Mohammad had demonstrated full insight, genuine remorse, and completed targeted continuing professional development. The suspension order was revoked with immediate effect.
Charges
Dr Mohammad faced a review of a suspension order imposed by the May 2025 Tribunal. The original findings concerned: (1) Patient A — inappropriately prescribing methotrexate on 5 August 2022 without confirming a diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy and excluding a viable intrauterine pregnancy; (2) Patient B — incorrectly interpreting and classifying a cardiotocography (CTG) as normal on 5 September 2022.
Findings
The Review Tribunal found that Dr Mohammad's fitness to practise is no longer impaired by reason of misconduct. It determined that the risk to public protection had decreased to the same level as any other doctor. The Tribunal accepted that Dr Mohammad had demonstrated full insight, remorse, and meaningful remediation, including relevant CPD. It directed that the current order of suspension be revoked with immediate effect. The suspension order was due to expire on 26 December 2025.
