Charges
The original allegation concerned the Registrant's failure to attend work or notify his employer of his continued absence between 13 April and 1 July 2020, and failure to cooperate with the employer's investigation between 22 April and 1 July 2020. Particular 2(b) was not proved. The remaining conduct was found to amount to misconduct and impairment.
Findings
At this review the Panel found no evidence of insight, remorse or remediation because the Registrant had not engaged. It found that the risk of repetition remained and that his fitness to practise continued to be impaired on both public-protection and public-interest grounds. It extended the existing suspension by six months, effective from 27 July 2025, for review before expiry on 27 January 2026.
