What does “struck off the register” mean?

Being struck off (the regulator calls this "erasure") removes the practitioner from the register. They are no longer permitted to practise this profession in the UK. Erasure can be reviewed after a minimum of five years, but is otherwise indefinite.

Between 1 August 2019 and 29 May 2020, during the course of your employment at Swanpool Pharmacy, Swanpool Medical Centre, St Marks Road, Tipton, DY4 0SZ breached patient confidentiality by storing prescriptions in the boot of your car. By reason of matters set out above, your fitness to practise is impaired by reason of your conviction and or/ misconduct.”
