Other outcome
The NMC found that Caroline Heap, a registered midwife, was the subject of a fitness to practise hearing on 8 April 2026 concerning a health case. Caroline Heap had been suspended for 12 months. At today's review the panel decided that fitness to practise remains impaired but allowed the existing suspension order to lapse on its expiry date today, rather than imposing a new order. The hearing was held in private to protect health information.
