Conditions on practice(practising with restrictions)· 1 year
The NMC's Fitness to Practise Committee found that registered nurse Doreen Elizabeth Yarnold failed to check a resident's ketone levels after high blood sugar readings, failed to document those readings, gave an inadequate handover, and did not sign for another resident's pain relief medication. The panel decided these failings amounted to misconduct and that her fitness to practise is impaired. It imposed a conditions of practice order for 12 months, with a review before it expires. Eight other charges were not proved.
