The NMC decided that John McKeegan's application for agreed removal from the register should be granted. A referral in April 2025 raised a concern that John McKeegan's fitness to practise might be impaired by reason of health, and no allegation had been found proved by a statutory committee. An Assistant Registrar was satisfied that John McKeegan no longer intends to work as a registered nurse, that the allegations were not likely to result in a striking-off order, and that the public interest was best served by agreeing the removal.
