Interim restrictions imposed· 18 months
The NMC's Investigating Committee imposed an interim 18-month conditions of practice order on Michael Cope, a registered nurse, on 7 April 2026. The committee decided this was needed while the NMC investigates allegations against him, alongside a criminal investigation. The conditions require him to work for one employer (not an agency), and to have a chaperone present whenever he has contact with patients under the age of 18. The Case Examiners have not yet decided whether there is a case to answer.
