GDC committee replaces dentist Henri Wafula's interim conditions with suspension

The GDC's Interim Orders Committee has revoked the interim conditions on dentist Henri Wafula's registration and imposed an interim suspension. First imposed in 2023 and twice extended by the High Court, the order expires in August 2026, when the GDC will seek a further extension.

At a review hearing on 24 June 2026, the Interim Orders Committee revoked the interim conditions and imposed a suspension for the remainder of the order. Findings

At a review hearing on 24 June 2026, the Interim Orders Committee revoked the conditions previously imposed on Mr Wafula's registration and imposed a suspension for the remainder of the 12 month order. The order was originally imposed on 27 February 2023 for a period of 18 months, and was extended by the High Court for 12 months on 5 August 2024 and for a further 12 months on 26 August 2025. The interim order is due to expire on 26 August 2026, and the GDC will be applying to the High Court for a further extension.
