What does “suspended from practice” mean?
A suspension is a fixed-term pause on the right to practise. The practitioner cannot work in the regulated profession during the suspension. At the end of the period the suspension may be extended, replaced with another sanction, or lifted on review.

It decided that allowing the existing order to lapse at its expiry in October 2026 would not be appropriate, and that conditions were no longer workable or sufficient for the protection of the public. It revoked the conditions first imposed in July 2024 and varied at the review of 13 February 2026, and directed a suspension of 12 months with a review to be held shortly before the end of that period. On the GDC's application under section 30(1) of the Dentists Act 1984, which the registrant did not oppose, the Committee also imposed an immediate suspension order.
