Charges
Ms Thomas was alleged to have attended work under the influence of alcohol in June 2022 and February 2023, consumed alcohol during a shift, and incorrectly recorded completion of patient-treatment tasks while she was intoxicated. A separate health allegation was also referred but was not determined after the misconduct sanction.
Findings
The panel proved the alcohol-related incidents and recording errors and found serious misconduct. It found a significant risk of repetition, limited current insight, no evidence of remediation and impairment on personal and public grounds. Because suspension would not reduce the unresolved risk and Ms Thomas had said she did not wish to return to radiography, the panel struck her off.
