Nursing and Midwifery Council determination — voluntary removal
Voluntary removal from the register
The regulator’s term: voluntary erasure accepted
What does “voluntary removal from the register” mean?
The practitioner asked to be removed from the register and the regulator accepted the request. This may happen during or after a fitness-to-practise case.
Concerning Rosavilla Alayon, nurse (Nursing and Midwifery Council 01K1427O).
Decision date: 9 March 2026
In plain English
The NMC found that Rosavilla Alayon's application for agreed removal from the register should be granted. An Assistant Registrar concluded she no longer intends to work as a registered nurse, the allegations against her were not likely to result in a striking-off order, and the public interest was best served by agreeing removal. The underlying allegation was that she had not demonstrated the knowledge, skill and judgement required to practise without supervision as a nurse. No allegation was substantively proved.
Charges
Draft charges before the Fitness to Practise Committee alleged that Rosavilla Alayon failed to demonstrate the standards of knowledge, skill and judgement required to practise without supervision as a nurse. The referral was received on 8 July 2024. No allegation has been found substantively proved by an NMC statutory committee.
Findings
On 22 January 2026, Rosavilla Alayon applied for agreed removal from the NMC register. An Assistant Registrar, exercising delegated authority under Rule 14 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (Education, Registration and Registration Appeals) Rules 2004, considered the application, the case examiners' decision letter dated 22 July 2025, draft charges, the interests of Rosavilla Alayon and the public interest. The Assistant Registrar was satisfied that Ms Alayon no longer intends to work as a registered nurse, the allegations are not likely to result in a striking-off order, there are no other good reasons to consider the allegations further, and the public interest is best served by agreeing removal. The application was granted on 9 March 2026.
