Charges
This review followed a finding of lack of competence concerning occupational therapy skills, clinical reasoning, record keeping and completion of an improvement plan. The original allegations also concerned unprofessional written communication with an employer.
Findings
The panel found that fitness to practise remained impaired on personal and public grounds. It had no evidence of meaningful insight, remediation or continuing professional development and considered the risk of repetition remained high. It extended the existing conditions for six months from 7 August 2026, with a further review before expiry. The conditions require direct Band 6 or higher supervision, restrict practice to Band 5 work, prohibit autonomous community practice and locum or agency work, and require refresher training and a development plan. A voluntary removal agreement was to be explored; removal was not ordered.
