At the original 2022 hearing he was found to have permitted D4 medical examination forms to be stamped with his details on three occasions when he had not supervised the examinations, and to have acted dishonestly. The review tribunal directed that his conditions of practice be revoked with immediate effect.

At this review hearing the Tribunal found that Dr James' fitness to practise is no longer impaired by reason of misconduct. The Tribunal directed that his conditions of practice be revoked with immediate effect, noting the conditions were due to expire on 21 February 2026. The Tribunal proceeded in Dr James' absence.
