    The NMC's Investigating Committee decided that an interim conditions of practice order should be placed on adult nurse Andrew Penfold for 18 months, as its investigation is at an early stage. He must work for one substantive employer, be directly supervised by a nurse of Band 6 or above until assessed as competent, and must not be the nurse in charge. The NMC's case examiners are yet to decide whether there is a case to answer.
