The NMC's Investigating Committee decided to make an interim suspension order for 18 months in respect of Gerland Aurea, a registered adult nurse, who attended the hearing and was not represented. The NMC's case examiners have yet to decide whether there is a case to answer in relation to the allegations made against Mr Aurea, and no findings have been made. A panel will review the interim suspension order within the next six months.
