The NMC's Investigating Committee imposed an interim suspension order on registered midwife Lucy Paxton for 18 months at a hearing on 3 July 2026. The Council's Case Examiners have not yet decided whether there is a case to answer in relation to the allegations made against her. A panel will review the interim order within six months. Miss Paxton attended the hearing and was represented.
