    The NMC's Fitness to Practise Committee imposed an interim suspension order on midwife Sarah Elizabeth Swan for 15 months at a new interim order hearing on 7 May 2026. The allegations against Ms Swan have not yet been decided. The order will be reviewed within six months and every six months after that, and could be revoked, confirmed or replaced with an interim conditions of practice order. Ms Swan was not present or represented at the hearing.
