The panel suspended her from practice for 12 months and imposed an 18-month interim suspension order pending the conclusion of any appeal.

    The NMC's Fitness to Practise Committee found that Shona Mary Ovenstone, a registered nurse who ran an aesthetics clinic in Fife, dishonestly administered Botox to a patient in March and April 2024 using a prescription intended for another patient, reused the same vial after 13 days against single-use instructions, failed to keep adequate records, and breached her duty of candour by not telling the patient what had happened. The panel imposed a striking-off order with an 18-month interim suspension order during the appeal period.

The case was heard entirely in private under Rule 19 of the Nursing and Midwifery Fitness to Practise Rules, so the underlying details are not published.

    The NMC's Investigating Committee found that an interim conditions of practice order should be made against adult nurse Adelina Borisova for a period of 18 months. The hearing took place on 16 April 2026. Conditions include limiting her practice to one substantive employer, not working as the nurse in charge or sole nurse on a shift, and monthly meetings with her line manager. The NMC Case Examiners have not yet decided whether there is a case to answer regarding the allegations against her.

    James Forbes Mcgurk Wilson

    The NMC found that nurse James Forbes Mcgurk Wilson should be removed from the register by agreement. The Assistant Registrar accepted his application for agreed removal on 16 April 2026. Concerns had been raised that he administered incorrect medication to a service user and was dishonest in recording the medication count. The investigation had not yet concluded and no allegation had been substantively proved. The decision will be published for twelve months.

    The MPTS tribunal found that Dr Chirag Patel's fitness to practise is impaired by reason of misconduct. Dr Patel, a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the University Hospital of Wales, admitted he engaged in a sexual relationship with a patient who was vulnerable by reason of her physical health, sent her explicit images of himself, and prescribed her controlled medication outside proper clinical processes including without telling her GP. The tribunal suspended his registration for 8 months.

    The GDC tribunal decided that the conditions on Mr Derek Lewis Levenstein's registration as a dentist should continue for the remainder of an 18-month interim order. The Professional Conduct Committee found that, in 2023, she falsified entries in her dental sedation training workbook, used real patient information she should not have had, and recorded clinical skills she had not actually been observed performing. The Committee found her conduct was dishonest, misleading and lacked integrity. It suspended her registration for 9 months, with a review before the order ends, and ordered immediate suspension to cover the 28-day appeal period.

The panel found his conduct dishonest and amounted to misconduct, that his fitness to practise was impaired, and ordered him to be struck off the register, with an 18-month interim suspension order.

    The MPTS tribunal found that Dr Ifeanyi Ntomchukwu's fitness to practise was impaired by reason of eight driving convictions in 2024, including driving on a provisional licence without insurance and driving in excess of 100mph without stopping for police. The tribunal found he had shown remorse and had passed his driving test, but had not fully appreciated the risk his behaviour posed to public safety. It suspended his registration for two months, on grounds of upholding public confidence and professional standards.

    The NMC's Investigating Committee imposed an interim conditions of practice order for 18 months on Donna Louise Bridgewood, a registered nursing associate, at a New Interim Order Hearing on 15 April 2026. An interim order restricts her practice while the underlying allegations are being investigated and is not a final decision on whether her fitness to practise is impaired. The conditions require supervision when working and direct supervision when administering medications.

    The MPTS tribunal found that Dr Shahmeen Rasul, while working as a Foundation Year 2 doctor in Belfast in 2024, dishonestly completed and signed a professional reference in the name of a consultant cardiologist without his knowledge or agreement, and submitted it to a locum agency. The tribunal found her insight into the dishonesty was still developing and that the risk to public protection was medium. It suspended her registration for three months and directed a review hearing.

    The NMC's Investigating Committee found that Esther Temitayo Ayelabowo's entry on the nursing register was fraudulently procured, because the Computer Based Test result she submitted from the Yunnik Technologies test centre in Nigeria on 29 March 2022 had been obtained through fraud, most likely through use of a human proxy. She completed the clinical test in under ten minutes against an allowed time of 150 minutes. The panel directed under Article 26(7) that her entry be removed from the register, with an 18-month interim suspension order covering the appeal period.

    The NMC's Assistant Registrar agreed to the voluntary removal of Gayle Kathryn Mawdsley from the nursing register on 15 April 2026, following her own application of 30 November 2025. The original concern, raised in a self-referral on 18 June 2024, related to a health condition that may have impaired her fitness to practise. No allegation against her was ever substantively proved by an NMC statutory committee. The Assistant Registrar was satisfied that she no longer intends to work as a nurse and that the allegations were not likely to result in a striking-off order.

The tribunal noted he had practised in Ireland without incident since 2011 and kept his skills up to date. It decided his name should be restored to the Medical Register without restrictions.

    The MPTS tribunal found that Dr Costantino Davide, a consultant plastic surgeon, failed to tell a patient before a 2022 facelift and eyelid surgery that her BMI was too high and that she should stop smoking three weeks before the procedure, and failed to keep adequate records of the reasons for surgery and his treatment plan. The tribunal found his fitness to practise was impaired by misconduct. It imposed conditions on his registration for 24 months, with a review hearing, and an immediate order.

    The MPTS tribunal found that Dr Milind Gadgil dishonestly failed to declare on a 2024 NHS job application that he had been dismissed in Nebraska after attending work over the alcohol limit, and failed to tell the GMC that medical boards in Nebraska, Maryland, Tennessee, Maine and Texas had suspended his licence to practise. The tribunal found his fitness to practise was impaired by misconduct. It suspended his registration for five months, directed a review hearing, and imposed an immediate order.

    The NMC's Fitness to Practise Committee found that Darin Keith Burghes, a registered nurse, remains impaired and replaced his existing 12-month suspension order with a striking-off order taking effect at the end of 25 May 2026. The original 2020 incident involved shouting at Patient A, shouting 'bastard' towards her, and banging a glass bottle on the table in her room.
