    Haroon Mohammed Bin Manir

The GDC tribunal decided that Mr Manir's suspension from the dentist register would be extended for a further 3 months, with a review before the order expires. • Dental Professionals Hearings ServiceDentist

    Suspended from practice

    Christopher Keith De Bono

The GDC tribunal decided that Mr De Bono, a dentist, was convicted in 2023 of speeding at 162mph, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance. He failed to inform the GDC of these convictions, which the tribunal found to be dishonest and intended to conceal his offending from his regulator. His fitness to practise was found impaired by misconduct and convictions. The tribunal imposed a 12-month suspension with a review.

The panel directed the Registrar to remove her entry from the register because it had been fraudulently procured.

    Struck off the register

    Ruffa Hernandez

The NMC found that Ruffa Hernandez, a registered nurse, did not meet the standards of knowledge, skill and judgment expected of a Band 5 nurse. Between August 2022 and June 2023 she made multiple medication and care errors, including incorrect insulin doses, a missed pressure sore, poor handovers, and an inaccurate insulin administration record. She was suspended for 12 months in April 2025. At today's review she had not engaged with the NMC or shown any improvement, so the panel decided to strike her name off the register.

    Struck off the register

    Maria Charito Estrella Poblete

The NMC found that Maria Poblete, a registered nurse working as a Deputy Sister at a nursing home, did not properly review or assess a vulnerable resident's pressure wounds for several months in 2022, did not update care plans or complete required risk-score forms, and did not escalate the wounds to a senior nurse or specialist. The resident developed serious sacral wounds. She was placed on a 12-month conditions of practice order in April 2025. At today's review she had not engaged with the NMC, so the panel decided to strike her name off the register.

  • Dental Professionals Hearings ServiceDental nurse

    Suspended from practice

    Sophie Alice Colwill

The GDC tribunal decided that Miss Colwill's fitness to practise as a dental nurse is impaired by her stalking conviction and by misconduct. The Professional Conduct Committee found that she had been convicted at Exeter Magistrates' Court in May 2024 of stalking causing serious alarm and distress, and that she had then failed to tell the GDC about the conviction immediately, waiting nearly three months. The Committee found that delay was misleading and dishonest. It suspended her registration for 12 months with a review, and ordered immediate suspension to cover the appeal period.

    Voluntary removal from the register

    Ms Edith Adamezie Chukwunyerenwa

An NMC Assistant Registrar accepted Ms Edith Adamezie Chukwunyerenwa's application for agreed voluntary removal from the nursing register on 7 April 2026, before any substantive hearing took place. The underlying concerns alleged that she had failed to demonstrate the required standards as a newly qualified Band 5 nurse and had asked a colleague not to report an error; she denied the concerns. Agreed removal allows the registrant to leave the register without admission of fault; if she ever seeks readmission, the NMC may revisit the matter.

    Suspended indefinitely

    Lorena Garcia Miguel

The GDC tribunal decided that Miss Garcia Miguel's registration as a dental nurse should be suspended indefinitely. The Professional Conduct Committee was reviewing an existing suspension order, first imposed in October 2023 and extended twice, after she had failed to cooperate with a GDC investigation about her indemnity insurance. Miss Garcia Miguel did not attend the review and had not engaged with the GDC since 2023. The Committee found her fitness to practise remained impaired and decided that an indefinite suspension was the only appropriate sanction. She may apply for a review after two years.
